Of course my beloved LOST got the full-post treatment below. But 30 Rock and The Office can't possibly get such wordy recaps. So in honor of Tracy Jordan, the man who not only coined the term "mind grapes," but also last night's "thoughtsicles," here are my two favorite moments from each.
The Office: Mindy Kaling for LIFE!
Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor on the show while also running her very own shopping blog, wrote "Night Out." And while the episode was actually flat-out hilarious, filled with great moments for every single character--Ryan being coked out, Michael calling his mother and bombing with girl after girl, Dwight turning into a total player, Toby embarrassingly and uncomfortably hitting on Pam, Jim releasing his inner-Michael--the best moment of the night just so happened to come from Mindy herself.
While a half-bearded Ryan addressed the troops in the Scranton office, the jilted Kelly spear-headed the following exchange with her former significant other. If there is a funnier moment from this season of The Office, I defy you to show me:
Ryan: Do you have a question Kelly?
Kelly: I have a lot of questions. Number one: how dare you?
Sigh. Brilliant.
30 Rock: It's an illusion, Michael!
Everything Will Arnett does makes me laugh. The only thing better than having him appear as a recurring character on 30 Rock, is having said character feign heterosexuality.
Witness the best moment of last night's episode: Will Arnett sitting at his own bachelor party with a hang-dog look on his face, dressed in a cream colored suit with a metallic shirt on underneath.
I mean look at that outfit.
Is it simply a sight gag?
Sure.
Was it enough to make me laugh-out-loud?
Absolutely.
Was it funnier than Tina Fey saying that she got "business sick" all over her suit?
Only slightly.
